Community Involvement
The Knowsley Partnership wants to make sure that the widest range of people from across the borough are involved in the decision-making process and that local people have a real say in how services are run, and in what is planned and developed for their neighbourhood.
The Knowsley Partnership's Community Engagement Strategy - Community Knowhow - recognises and values the importance of local people's views. It aims to deliver engagement through information sharing, to consultation, through deciding and acting together and finally by supporting local initiatives. It is currently being revised and refreshed to reflect the borough's new approach to neighbourhood working and Improving People's Lives.
All partners are committed to working with residents to ensure that community views and experiences are sought when services are planned and delivered. The Knowsley Partnership wants residents to be able to contribute to Partnership decisions, feel that their views are valued and receive feedback on actions.
If you belong to a community or resident group, your organisation can join Knowsley's Community Empowerment Network. This organisation works on behalf of voluntary and community groups in the borough, and links in with all levels of the Knowsley Partnership. Contact them by telephoning 0151 546 5137 or e-mail ccu.kcvs@virgin.net
Together we can work to make Knowsley a healthy place were people are proud to live, work and do business.
